Speakers Include Legalization Bill Sponsors, Former Giants’ Star Amani Toomer, High Times Magazine’s Nico Escondido, Industry Experts & Specialists

The New Jersey CannaBusiness Association (NJCBA) will be hosting an educational seminar for professionals looking to get involved in the cannabis industry. The seminar, “Beyond Cannabis 101: A Deep Dive Into Law, Legislation, Applications
Assembly Speaker Coughlin has noted that New Jersey is on “the one-yard line” on adult-use cannabis legalization, while Senate President Sweeney has said that legalization “will get passed one way or another.” As the legislature and governor move ahead on the issue, expected as soon as May, it is critical that those interested in the progress of legalization and medical expansion have the most up-to-date information. This event will provide just that.
Among the featured speakers will be Senator Nicholas Scutari, Assemblywoman Annette Quijano and Assemblyman Jamel Holley. All three are sponsors of S2703/A4497, the legislation that would legalize adult-use cannabis in New Jersey. They will provide updates on current efforts to pass the legislation and possible expansion of the state’s medical cannabis program.
Former Giants wide receiver and Super Bowl champion Amani Toomer will also be on hand to speak about his involvement in the cannabis industry and how it will benefit New Jersey. Additional speakers include High Times magazine co-owner Nico Escondido, Blazin’ Bakery owner Tara “Misu” Sargente and New Jersey’s largest cannabis operator, George Schidlovsky of Curaleaf, as well as other experts in the cannabis field.
