Amani Toomer

Amani Toomer is a former wide receiver and punt returner who played his entire career with the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He registered over 1,000 receiving yards each season from 1999 to 2003, was a member of the 2007 New York Giants that won Super Bowl XLII, and holds Giants' club records with 9,497 receiving yards, 668 receptions and 54 receiving touchdowns. He also returned 109 punts for 1,060 yards and three touchdowns. As a rookie in 1996, he led the NFL with an average of 16.6 yards on 18 punt returns.

Toomer played college football at the University of Michigan from 1992 to 1995. In 1994, he broke the school's single-season record with 1,096 receiving yards and was a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award and a first-team All-Big Ten honoree. Toomer finished his college career ranked second (now fourth) in Michigan history with 2,657 receiving yards.

Nico Zitelli

Nicholas J. Zitelli is the CEO of Applied Cannabis Sciences (ACS) of New Jersey, a group that carries over a dozen MMJ licenses across several states in the U.S. 

In addition, Mr. Zitelli is part owner, director, and Chief Cannabis Officer of Trans High Corporation, the parent company for all High Times brands, including all media and event platforms. Writing under the pen name Nico Escondido since 2007, Mr. Zitelli has penned hundreds of articles relating to the cultivation, science, and technologies involved with the cannabis plant.

Gary B. Rosen

Gary is a partner in Marcum’s New York Advisory Services division where he serves as the NYC Practice Leader, the New York metropolitan leader for the Cannabis Practice group, and a member of its Forensics Practice group. He is intimately familiar with accounting best practices and tax laws such as 280E and its implications for how cannabis businesses should ideally be structured and operated.

Karl P. Frederic

Karl Paul Frederic, a partner at the law firm Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf, LLP, leads the Firm’s Cannabis Law Practice Group.  Karl has had nearly 30 years of experience in complex business and real estate transactions, with much of his practice focused on providing support to pharmaceutical, life sciences and biotechnology companies. For the past several years, Karl has been preparing for the expansion of legal cannabis in New Jersey, and has built contacts throughout all segments of the industry. He is also outside counsel to the New Jersey Cannabusiness Association and a frequent contributor to NJ Cannabis Insider.  Karl received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University (B.A., 1984) and his law degree from the University of Miami (J.D., cum laude, 1990), where he was a member of the Editorial Board of the University of Miami Law Review.

Tara Sargente

Tara Sargente is the owner of Blazin’ Bakery, the first legal, woman-owned edibles company in New Jersey. At Blazin' Bakery, Tara optimizes brownie mixes so anyone can make potent DIY edibles at home with no experience needed. Her products are sold in more than 1,000 shops nationally. Tara also serves as Executive Director of the New Jersey CannaBusiness Association. With close to a decade of cannabis industry experience, Tara applies her deep knowledge base and professional experience to help advance legalization in New Jersey. 

George Schidlovsky

George is President of Curaleaf New Jersey, the state's largest medical cannabis operation. George is a pragmatic, resourceful, and strategic executive with experience spanning the hospitality, manufacturing, financial services, real estate, medical device, and private equity sectors. His hands-on leadership has helped ensure Curaleaf as an innovative and customer-focused medical cannabis dispensary.

Eric Meth

Eric Meth is the CEO of data-led marketing firm Good Harvest Co. Eric specializes in interactive, programmatic, mobile, and ad tech, with 25 years of CPG & retail experience. Having worked in both start-up environments and some of the most recognizable media and digital companies in the world, Eric has transitioned his expertise to help innovate the way cannabis brands reach their desired consumers, and the way non-endemic brands reach cannabis consumers — moving audiences from shopping mode to buying mode.
